The three open clubs in the region are;

• Cleveland Orienteering Klub (CLOK)
• Northern Navigators (NN)
• Newcastle and Tyneside Orienteers (NATO)

Orienteers are free to join the club of their choice, but the majority of CLOK members are in North Yorkshire (Northallerton northwards) Cleveland and South Durham, NN members in mid Durham, Wearside and South Tyneside and NATO members on Tyneside, in Tynedale and northwards to the Border.

University Clubs cater for students and staff at those institutions;

• Durham (UDOC)
• Newcastle (UNOC)
• Past students of Newcastle University have their own Kings Newcastle Old Boys (KNOB)

Our neighbouring Assocations are Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association (YHOA), North West Orienteeering Association (NWOA) and Scottish Orienteering Association (SOA)
